A deep cleaning is a complete, top-to-bottom reset of your home — everything a standard clean does, plus all the detailed work that build-up requires: inside the appliances, grout, baseboards, vents, window tracks, and the corners a routine clean never reaches. Here's the full checklist, room by room, so you know exactly what you're getting.

The Full Deep Cleaning Checklist

This is the room-by-room list our teams actually work from — close to 50 individual tasks, and the same checklist behind the white-glove inspection that closes out every GreenShield 5-Step Clean™. Nothing here is upsold as an extra; it's simply what "deep" means.

Kitchen

  • Inside the oven — racks and door glass
  • Inside the microwave, top and bottom
  • Refrigerator exterior, top, sides and accessible interior
  • Stovetop, grates, drip pans and control knobs
  • Range hood and filter degreased
  • Backsplash and wall splatter
  • Cabinet and drawer fronts wiped
  • Countertops and small-appliance exteriors
  • Sink, faucet and disposal flange descaled
  • Floors hand-detailed along edges and under accessible furniture

Bathrooms

  • Tile and grout scrubbed line by line
  • Shower, tub and glass doors de-scaled
  • Showerhead and fixtures polished
  • Toilet cleaned — base, hinges and behind the bowl
  • Vanity, countertop and sink
  • Mirrors and medicine-cabinet fronts
  • Exhaust fan cover dusted
  • Baseboards and behind-the-door corners
  • Floors detailed to the baseboard

Bedrooms

  • Baseboards, trim, doors and door frames wiped
  • Ceiling fans and light fixtures dusted
  • Blinds and window sills
  • Window tracks cleared
  • Behind and under accessible furniture
  • Headboards and upholstered surfaces vacuumed
  • Switch plates, handles and high-touch points sanitized

Living & dining areas

  • Baseboards and crown molding
  • Ceiling fans, vents and light fixtures
  • Blinds, sills and window tracks
  • Behind and under sofas and accessible furniture
  • Upholstery vacuumed; cushions lifted
  • Shelves and décor dusted individually
  • Glass tables and mirrors
  • Remotes, switches and door handles sanitized

Whole-home detail & air

  • Air vents, registers and return covers dusted
  • High dusting and cobweb removal, corners to ceiling
  • Interior window glass
  • Doors, door frames and trim throughout
  • Light switches and outlet plates
  • Stair rails, balusters and treads
  • Trash removed and liners replaced
  • EPA Safer Choice™ sanitize of every high-touch surface

Floors & entryways

  • All carpets HEPA-vacuumed, edges included
  • Hard floors swept and mopped with pH-neutral product
  • Entry mats, thresholds and door tracks
  • Spot treatment of visible marks (as needed)
  • Under accessible rugs and furniture

Included on request

  • Inside kitchen cabinets and drawers (emptied and wiped)
  • Full refrigerator interior with shelves removed
  • Interior of windows on upper floors
  • Inside closets and pantry shelving

Just mention any of these when you book and we'll fold them into the plan and the quote.

How a Deep Clean Is Done

01

Top-to-bottom, high-to-low

Deep cleaning works from the ceiling down — fans, vents, and light fixtures first, then walls, trim, and surfaces, and floors last — so dust that's knocked loose is captured rather than re-settling on areas already cleaned.

02

Get into the detail zones

The defining part of a deep clean is the detail: grout lines scrubbed, baseboards and door frames wiped by hand, window tracks and sills cleared, and the build-up in corners and behind furniture removed — the spots a routine clean never reaches.

03

Inside the appliances & cabinets

Inside the oven, microwave, and refrigerator, plus inside cabinets and drawers on request. This is grimy, time-consuming work that a standard clean leaves out, and it's a big reason a deep clean takes longer.

04

Reset, then maintain

A deep clean brings the whole home to a true baseline. After that, recurring standard cleans keep it there — which is why most homes only need a deep clean a few times a year.
